The academic year switcher
Almost everything here is scoped to an academic year. Check which year is selected before reading any figure: last year's fee collection and this year's look identical apart from that control.
There is no global "current year" that quietly follows the date — a school runs admissions for next year while still teaching this one, so the year is something you choose.
Campus
Where a school has more than one campus, the console is also scoped by campus. The same rule applies: check what is selected.
Who gets in here
Access is by permission, and the navigation only shows what you can actually reach. If a colleague sees a screen you do not, they hold a duty or role you do not.
