Daily report

The day's record a teacher files, and who reads it.

All staff_report guides →

Where your school uses them, a daily report is the record of what you actually taught and what happened, filed by you at the end of the day.

Filing one

Enter it against the day. What a school asks for varies — periods covered, syllabus progress, anything notable.

Who reads it

Your head of department, and the office. It may be verified — see Verifying reports for the other side of that, if you are the one doing the verifying.

Why it is a record and not a note

Filed reports are kept and can be read back later, so a question about what was covered in a term has an answer that is not a memory.
