Staff reports
Verifying teachers' daily class reports, and the templates they are written against.
Three tabs: the queue, the templates, and the summary.
The queue is the day's work
Reports arrive for verification. Clear them the same day: a daily report verified a week later records that somebody signed a form, not that anybody read it.
Templates decide what gets said
A template with ten free-text boxes produces ten sentences of nothing. Ask for the few things you will actually act on — what was covered, who was absent from the period, anything that needs following up — and leave the rest out. Changing a template does not rewrite reports already filed against the old one.
The summary is for patterns
One report is an anecdote. The summary is where a section that is repeatedly behind, or a teacher filing nothing for three weeks, becomes visible.
Who verifies
Verification is scoped to the reports a person is responsible for — a department head sees their own teachers. It is a delegatable duty, so it need not sit with the principal.
