Scheduled reports
A saved report can run on a schedule and deliver itself.
A schedule re-derives its owner's authority at every run. If the person who created it loses access to the data, the schedule stops producing it — it does not keep running on the permissions they had the day they saved it. That is what stops a schedule becoming a way to keep reading data you can no longer see.
Exports carry their scope
An export names the year and campus it covers. A spreadsheet that does not say what it covers is a spreadsheet somebody will misread in three months.
