Entering marks

Entering marks for a paper, and why entering is not publishing.

All examination guides →

Entering is not publishing

You enter marks. Somebody else publishes them. Until they are published, no guardian and no student sees anything.

This is a separation of duties, not an obstacle: it means a mistyped mark is never seen as a result, and it means the decision to release results belongs to someone accountable for it.

Entering

Choose the exam and the subject, enter each mark against the maximum, and save. You can come back and continue — a partly entered sheet is saved as it stands.

After publication

A published mark is corrected by correcting and re-publishing. The change is recorded, including who made it. Tell whoever published it rather than assuming a silent fix.

What families see

The mark, the maximum, and the grade where your school uses grades. See Marks and results for the family's view of the same data.
