Setting coursework
Setting work, attaching material, and what reaches families.
Setting work
Choose the section and subject, describe the work, set a due date, and attach anything the students need.
What families get
Setting work writes a notification to every student in the section and to their guardians. Depending on your school's settings that may arrive as an immediate message or be rolled into a daily digest — most schools digest homework, because one message per assignment is how a school trains families to ignore it.
Either way, do not set five items expecting one notification, or one expecting five.
Submissions
Where your school collects work through this software, submissions appear against the item. Many schools collect on paper, in which case this is a record of what was set.
Editing after setting
Editing an item that has already gone out does not un-send the notification. If the change matters, say so.
