Certificates and documents

You can ask the school for a certificate here — a bonafide certificate, a transfer certificate, a conduct certificate — and follow the request rather than telephoning to ask.

Making a request

Choose the certificate type and the child it is for, and say what it is needed for where the form asks. Some types need a reason; that is the school's requirement, not a formality.

What happens next

The request goes to the office. It is not instant, and it is not automatic: somebody reviews it, and either issues the document or comes back to you.

The request carries a status you can check, so "has anyone looked at this yet" is answerable without a phone call. That is most of the point of the screen.

Collecting it

How you receive the finished document — downloaded here, collected from the office, posted — depends on the certificate and the school.

If it is urgent

Say so in the request, and telephone the office as well. Nothing here jumps a queue on its own.
