Reporting something broken

Reporting a fault, and following whether anyone fixed it.

All facilities guides →

A projector that will not switch on, a broken window, a tap that runs. Report it here rather than telling somebody in a corridor.

Reporting

Where it is, what is wrong, and how much it is stopping you working. Be specific about the place — "the projector in Room 12" is actionable; "the projector" is not.

What happens next

It becomes a work order for whoever handles maintenance. It carries a status, so "did anyone ever look at this" is answerable.

Why bother when you could just tell somebody

Because a corridor conversation leaves no record, and a fault reported three times by three teachers looks like one fault here rather than none. The log is what gets a recurring problem taken seriously.

Urgent and unsafe

Anything dangerous — exposed wiring, a blocked fire exit — report here and tell somebody now. This is a queue, not an alarm.
