Roles are shown, not chosen
You can see the roles and duties you hold and what they let you reach. You cannot grant yourself more — that is deliberate, and it is why the screen is safe to leave open. Changes to who holds what happen in Responsibilities, by somebody who holds that duty.
Two-factor, for the accounts that move money or grant access
Roles that can run payroll, refund fees, manage tenants or grant roles require a second factor. If yours does, enrol here. Keep a recovery method: an administrator locked out of the console is a worse day than the one the requirement is protecting against.
If a device is lost
Change your password here immediately; that ends other sessions. Then ask whoever holds the access duty to review your roles — the two are separate actions and only the first is yours.

The email and phone here are where password resets and security notices go. An out-of-date number on a privileged account is how a reset ends up in the wrong hands.
